Biography

Jennifer Walston joined Bradley University in 2022 as the program director of the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner programs. She previously taught as an adjunct professor in Bradley’s graduate program. Jennifer graduated in 2005 from OSF St. Francis College of Nursing, Peoria, Illinois. She worked as an Intensive Care Nurse on Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Neurologic, and Cardiothoracic ICU’s before spending time as a traveling ICU nurse. In 2014, she earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago, completing the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She most recently worked on a hospital consult service that provided care to patients with substance use disorders, behavioral disturbances secondary to dementia, traumatic brain injuries, delirium, trauma, and hospital related admissions with associated psychiatric disorders. Jennifer is a member of the Illinois Society of Advance Practice Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
