Biography

Dr. Walloch joined Bradley University in 2015. Since that time, she has taught in the DNP and FNP programs. Dr. Walloch became a nurse in 1985 after graduating from the University of Iowa. As a nurse, she has focused on cardiac care—specifically, intensive care nursing. In 1992, Dr. Walloch first achieved her CCRN credentials. She earned her MSN in 1996, with an emphasis in nursing education. As a teacher, she has taught prelicensure nursing, and focused on the care of adult critical care client and leadership in nursing. She has also taught in the simulation laboratory and conducted NCLEX review courses.

Dr. Walloch has been an item writer for NCLEX-RN and NCLEX review books. Her doctorate is in Curriculum and Instruction, with emphasis on assessment of student nurses in the classroom. She became a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) in 2007 after participating in the creation of the exam for this certification.

Teaching

As a teacher, she has taught prelicensure nursing, including fundamentals, medical-surgical nursing, adult critical care nursing, leadership in nursing, and NCLEX preparation. She has also taught in the simulation laboratory and conducted NCLEX review courses.

Dr. Walloch joined Bradley University in 2015. Since that time, she has taught in the DNP and MSN programs. She developed the evidence-based practice courses, the doctoral level informatics course, and a DNP project course.

Scholarship

  • Dr. Walloch has been an item writer for NCLEX-RN and NCLEX review books.
  • She has authored test banks in textbooks in geriatrics and critical care.
  • Her doctorate is in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis on the assessment of student nurses in the classroom.
  • She has co-published several DNP projects with former students.

Service

Dr. Walloch serves as a representative on the Bradley University Department of Nursing program evaluation committee and the graduate curriculum committee.

As an elected official of Putman Township, she serves on the township and cemetery boards. She has served on the Board for Fulton Mason Crisis Services for many years, where she filled the role of Treasurer. A volunteer in the local after school program, Dr. Walloch strives for literacy for all, which includes long-term membership in the Altrusa Club of Canton, which organizes the reader4ever program.:
