Knowledge and Inquiry in Developmental Science
The Bradley K.I.D.S. Research group is led by Dr. Derek Montgomery and Dr. Valerie San Juan at Bradley University. In collaboration with students in our labs, we study how children develop thought, language, and social skills during the preschool and early school years. Specific topics of study may include:
- When and how do children learn to consider other people's perspectives?
- What information do children use when deciding to trust others?
- How can we facilitate the development of self-control?
- When do children adapt their responses to improve communication with others?
