As an original department at Bradley University, we continue to carry out the vision set by our founder, Lydia Moss Bradley. We empower our graduates to lead industrious lives, advocating for social equity and sustainable solutions for families and communities.
As an FCS student, you’ll work to improve the lives of individuals and families by focusing on family relationships, food and nutrition, the apparel and hospitality industries, and health in their communities. We’ll challenge you to solve problems, advocate for positive change, and make an impact on those around them.
All students get hands-on experiences in their respective fields and graduate prepared for their careers. These can include teaching FCS, clinical dietetics, event planning, apparel product development, corporate wellness, food service management, merchandising, family and community outreach, nutrition counseling, human services, and many others.
